The Project Prowess  workshop is facilitated by Richardson Management Consultants Ltd.

The Project Prowess workshop equips participants with the essential skills and knowledge required to excel in project management, and explores various topics critical to project success. Through practical examples and interactive exercises, participants will develop the expertise needed to effectively plan, execute, and deliver successful projects.

Topics covered in this workshop:

  • Nature of Project Work: Understand the unique characteristics of projects, including defined goals, temporary nature, resource constraints, and the need for effective coordination and communication among stakeholders.
  • Context (PEST/SWOT): Analyze the project's context using tools such as PEST (Political, Economic, Social, Technological) and SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis. Understand how external factors and internal capabilities can impact project success.
  • Visioning for Success: Learn techniques to define a clear vision for project success, establish project objectives, and align stakeholders' expectations. Develop strategies to effectively communicate the project vision and gain buy-in from team members and stakeholders.
  • Using Bite-Size Chunks: Break down projects into manageable tasks or work packages. Explore techniques such as work breakdown structure (WBS) and agile project management to divide projects into smaller, more manageable components.
  • Developing the Project Calendar: Create a comprehensive project calendar or schedule that outlines the sequence of tasks, dependencies, and deadlines. Understand the importance of effective scheduling and resource allocation to optimize project performance.
  • Timing and Quality: Learn strategies to ensure timely project delivery while maintaining high-quality standards. Explore techniques for monitoring project progress, managing potential delays, and mitigating risks to meet project objectives.
